On Tuesday, my friends and I decided we should try to figure out what Twitter is and what the big dealio is with this crazy site. It seems as though once I get my profile set up, I can configure it by sending a text message that updates what I’m doing at the moment. You sign up and add me as your friend and you can get a text with my update as to what I’m doing…sound strange? What’s the point you ask? I’m not really sure yet, but we are about to find out…if you so choose to join us in this little game of "for some reason i’m going to tell you what I’m doing during random moments". UPDATE: 3/5/08 I’m posting this for Creative Chaos on Ragamuffinsoul.com. Every since my Tuesday breakfast friends, lead by Randy Elrod, decided to jump on the twitter train, we have been amazed at the results of staying connected and getting to know people we otherwise would have never known. At first it was odd, by now, there is a community of people that i’m following everyday and are following me. It’s a great tool for connecting with people and following them through out the day. For people who know nothing about it, the first thing I usually hear from them is negative and probably because they don’t understand it. They say something stupid like…"I don’t want people knowing my whole life" well duh… me neither and it s up to you as to what you want to post. Your private stuff is yours and you are the one that contrls what people know…then they say something like…it seems so impersonal. In which i say…well, there’s this guy on there…I’ve never met him but if you were to ask me what he is about then i would say…he’s about his family…it’s what he posts about the most. Then I say, "do you remember when people where thinking that when email came out it wasn’t real enough and they would rather talk on the phone?" well…guess what…we live in an email world…so get over it. It’s time to jump on the technology train. It’s not for all of us, but if you so choose, then have fun and go for it….
