The Friday Travel Log
It’s Friday and I’m traveling this weekend. Today I’m headed to Chicago to go see this guy and this guy on their spring tour. Saturday I’m headed to Minneapolis to see them again and then back home. It’s going to be a short easy weekend of travel but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be a cold one. Which brings me to the picture of me in this

post. It has absolutely nothing to do with this post…It’s me standing at Murchison Falls in Uganda. Just thoought I would throw it in because it was a cool moment in travel for me. On to the rest of this post about traveling.
So…I was talking to a friend of mine the other night and they said, "don’t you ever get homesick?" and I’m thinking…"huh?" They went on to say how they have such a routine at home that it throws them off to even take a weekend trip only to come home and try to get back into the swing of things. I thought about it for a moment and I said that I miss the routine I have set up when I’m home (which has become more and more routine everyday) and that I love those times when I am home to just feel normal. Then I thought about how traveling fits into that only to realize that I have such a routine of when I travel as well. I do the exact same things every time I go somewhere. All the way down to checking in, getting through airport security, where I sit on the plane and knowing the amount of time it will take me to get to my rental car and to the hotel once I land. So does this mean I’ve traveled way to much? oh…I think sooooo.
I’m off on my travels today, I’m bound to add some random blogs from time to time this weekend. My casual observations or just random thoughts through out the day. Why…I even might try to do this via email from my phone to see if this typepad email system works for posting blogs without having to log on to the internet.
Just as a preview for next week, I’m going to be asking you to submit some of your travel stories either from your own blog or you can email them to me. I will start posting them on my travel blog, The Crazy Traveler, for all to see, learn from, laugh, or cringe…
