Vegas continued…Part 2

Vegas. On a more serious note. I went for a run this morning and the weather was perfect. 75 degrees. I didn’t sweat much because it’s so dry here that sweat just gets soaked up into the air. Amazing. While I was running, I was watching all the workers cleaning up from the night before and getting things ready for a new day moping sidewalks, shampooing carpets, and cleaning handle rails etc.

So here’s the thought I had. I’m watching all of these people, as I run by, clean everything and get it all ready for business and I thought, ‘For a town that is all about wealth, entertainment, and wanting to take your money at every turn, Vegas really does go the extra mile to do things so well and with such perfection to lure you in to where they want you to spend, loose, or take your money.’  My next thought was this… ‘why don’t we as christians do the same?’ this is what I mean…Why don’t we strive to be more excellent at what we do? Why don’t we do things so well that it makes people want to ‘come inside’ so to speak and want what we have? It’s impossible to be perfect people, but we can strive for perfection in what we do in life, For example, in our jobs or how we treat people.

I love to see people succeed and go the distance. Most of all I love to see them finish things well and make people notice how well they do things. It really should be a testimony of who we are in Christ.  So I encourage you…do you want to make a difference?  With whatever you are doing in life…do it well amd don’t slack off on it. Make it great and never look for a pat on the back for it.
